Objectives & framework

  • The primary objective of the Diploma in Hotel Management (DHM) program is to develop a strong foundation of skilled and competent young professionals equipped with the knowledge, operational skills, and attitude required to excel in entry-level and supervisory positions within the hospitality industry.

  • The program aims to provide students with engaging, practical, and high-quality training opportunities that enhance both their professional and personal development. These training opportunities are designed to offer exposure to both domestic and international hospitality practices.

  • An internship is integrated into the program, which helps bridge the gap between academic learning and real-world application. Internships will be offered after the first year of the DHM program, providing students with hands-on industry experience, reinforcing classroom knowledge with practical application.

The course framework for the Diploma in Hotel Management has been designed with the following key objectives:

  • To impart relevant and up-to-date knowledge in hotel management theory and its application in the hospitality industry.

  • To provide practical training through internships and workshops, helping students develop core operational skills in key areas such as food production, front office operations, housekeeping, and food & beverage service.

  • To cultivate essential values and attitudes for students to function efficiently in the hospitality industry, ensuring they develop a strong sense of professionalism, customer service, and adaptability.

  • To provide career-oriented guidance, ensuring that students are prepared to pursue roles in various sectors of hospitality, including hotels, resorts, restaurants, and other service industries.
     

The overall program is structured to create well-rounded professionals who can successfully enter and contribute to the hospitality industry with confidence and competence.

Eligibility For Admission:

  1. Educational Qualification:

    • 10th Pass from a recognized board OR

    • 12th Pass/Fail from a recognized board.

  2. Minimum Marks:

    • There is no minimum mark requirement, but candidates should have successfully cleared the 10th standard or attempted the 12th grade.

  3. Age Limit:

    • Candidates must generally be between 16 and 25 years of age.

  4. Medical Fitness:

    • Candidates should meet basic medical fitness standards as per the hospitality industry's requirements to ensure they are physically capable of managing the demanding nature of hospitality roles.
